A 1970s Ranch Kitchen, Opened Up

Oak cabinets, a fluorescent box light, and sheet vinyl, with a live oak outside the window nobody could see from the stove. The wall came down, the island went in under a plaster hood, and the window finally earns its place.

Photographed at completion.
